For organisations & partners
Invest in
the source.
Violence against women and men dropping out aren’t isolated incidents, but the predictable outcome of an outdated norm. Whoever invests at the source saves at the back end, and sets the standard.
The business case in brief
At work the old rule applies too: a man who shows weakness loses status. So he keeps going until he drops, says nothing about what is eating at him, and would rather compete than ask for help. That pressure costs every organisation money, in healthcare costs, lost productivity and absenteeism.
What is missing isn’t willingness, but an environment that makes it safe. A man who doesn’t have to work on his reputation all day puts that energy into his work: less absenteeism, higher retention, better collaboration.
Most organisations only invest once things go wrong: absence management, coaching after the fact, a confidential adviser for when it’s already too late. Joining this movement means investing before that point, in the norm itself, alongside other employers doing the same. That’s the gain stand-alone in-house programmes can’t deliver: a collective shift instead of an individual sticking plaster.
For your CSR or ESG strategy
Looking for a cause that fits corporate social responsibility? This sits in the social pillar of ESG: the ‘S’ of safety, equality and wellbeing. It maps onto SDG 5, gender equality.
What sets it apart from most corporate causes: this is prevention, not aftercare. You are not paying to clear up the damage but to stop it happening — and it affects your own staff as much as it does society. That makes it something you can account for in an annual report without filing it under charity.
In practice: you can join the Alliance as a partner, donate as an organisation, or put it to work inside your own company. The Nami Foundation has applied for ANBI status (the Dutch tax status for public benefit organisations); until it is granted, gifts are not tax-deductible, and we would rather say so up front.
How you join in
Donate money or resources
Make the launch and the scale-up possible. From a financial contribution to media, space, people or expertise, anything that pushes the movement forward counts.
Join the Alliance
Become part of the EchtMannelijk Alliance: we bring employers, government, education and media together in one data-driven coalition, to carry one long-term, recognisable story that reaches the average Dutch person.
Take it up internally
Carry the message inside your own organisation. We’re happy to come by for a talk or a session, tailored to your people.
Read the evidence
Let’s meet.
Tell us briefly who you are and how you would like to contribute: donating, joining, or taking it up internally. We set up a conversation and think it through with you.
Considering a talk or a session? Mention it in your message and we’ll send you the options.
